Together with the Young Austrian Arbitration Practitioners (YAAP) and the Austrian Arbitration Association (Arb|Aut), we were pleased to invite you to a highly topical panel on gender diversity at the management level – and the wide gap between rhetoric and reality.
Mariana Kühnel gave the opening speech, Daniela Bankier the keynote address, and Lisa Beisteiner an introduction to the topic in the international arbitration world. The high-level panel consisted of Maria Pernegger, Herbert Cordt, Melanie Eckl-Kerber, Paul Oberhammer, Günther J. Horvath, and Heike Mensi-Klarbach, and was moderated by Judith Knieper. The event was moderated by Elisabeth Vanas-Metzler. The audience actively contributed with questions to the panelists, as well as through engaged discussions before and after the program. The contributions of the speakers were extremely interesting and informative, and clearly showed the importance of flagging this topic again and again as well as the strong need for further developments.
The conference took place at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber on 9 September 2019.
